Terra J. Thurgood, CFP®, CDFA®
Partner / Wealth Advisor
What is a Certified Divorce Financial Analyst®?
Terra has been in the financial services industry since 1999. She graduated with her BS degree in accounting from Weber State University in 2004, as a Goddard Scholar in the top ten of her class. She earned her CFP® certification in 2014 and has served as a mentor for the CFP® Board Center for Financial Planning Women’s Initiative (WIN). She oversees the independently registered, fee-only firm’s operations and compliance and as an advisor works to simplify the complex financial world for clients.
Terra has a genuine concern for clients and as a CFP® professional considers all aspects of each unique situation when guiding them through various stages and unexpected transitions of life. In addition, as a Certified Divorce Financial Analyst®, or CDFA® practitioner, she can help those going through divorce move towards an equitable settlement as an independent, expert financial consultant for both parties. Having personally experienced the upheaval of divorce and the financial complexities of blending families, she strives to ease the financial uncertainty during and after such a transition, allowing clients to regain financial confidence and once again look toward the future.
Terra is an active volunteer in her local community, church, and has served on several parent, community, and school boards. Growing up on a farm in Ohio, she learned the definition of grit and continues to enjoy the fulfillment of a hard day’s work whether by making plans and mending fences in the boardroom or doing so in her pasture. Terra is happiest when spending time with her husband and their six (yes, SIX) daughters. If there is not a Buckeye football game to watch, you'll find them huddling over a recipe in the kitchen, tackling another new project outside, or occasionally taking a time-out to relax on horseback high in the mountains of Utah.
