As a farmer’s daughter from rural Ohio, I had grit and resilience instilled in me from an early age. Our family placed value on growth, kindness, and playing as hard as we work.
In 2004 I received my accounting degree from Weber State with Goddard Scholar honors. An eye-opening inaugural tax season led me to the realization that I would much rather help people plan and prevent taxes than report on them. For the next 15 years I honed my craft at another local advisory firm before joining The Martin Worley Group in 2013.
As a CFP® professional, simplifying the complexities of our financial world is one of the things I enjoy most about working with our clients. Getting to know them through their stories, experiences, and unique circumstances enables me to better guide them through the many, and sometimes unexpected, transitions in life.
Having tackled the upheaval of my own divorce and the financial complexities of blending families, I knew there was an opportunity to guide others on that path. Becoming a Certified Divorce Financial Analyst®, or CDFA® has given me an avenue to help clients ease the financial uncertainty during and after such a difficult transition.
Creating and maintaining balance in our lives is a “practice what you preach” opportunity for me. I find joy in so many ways, but some of my favorites are; caring for our small collection of livestock, spoiling our corgi, watching college football (Go Buckeyes!), horseback riding, creating new recipes, camping, and volunteering in my local community. Above all, I am happiest when sharing laughter with my husband, our blended family of six (yes, SIX) daughters, and their growing families.
